Sweden and Denmark 31.08.-25.09.2017 ............
For the time before and after the meeting of the Scandinavian YLs which took place in Kungsbacka near Götheborg it made sense to plan a few quiet days. The YL-Klub-CALL SK6SYL came to Skrea near Falkenberg for the first time in the air. During the SYLRA meeting arose possibility for some QSOs to use the club station in the long wave radio Grimeton SK6SAQ. And after the meeting a summer cottage used already in 2015 waited in Faxe Ladeplads for us. The OZ-YL-CALL OZ6SYL was available, so that I was active with this Call also again in the CW part of the SAC. All in all, a nice restful time as "scandinavian" YL.

Madeira: Holiday and radio operation 1996 ... 2017
This statistics shows the number of the QSOs which us, Hardy and me, from 1996 to 2017 from the Island Madeira in the log have brought. About 98.6% of the QSOs were in CW. Vertical aerials and 100 watts were used.
Since 2007: IC-7000 with tuner AH-4 and 7m-Vertikal-Antenne (wire in the telescope mast of DX-Wire),
Notebook with programme Win test for the QSOs. Regular contest participation: RA DX Contest

Madeira 09.03.-06.04.2017 Urlaubs- und Funkreise
As during the preceding years were again 4 weeks on Madeira QRV. Clearly appears in the QSO figures in particular on the upper tapes that the solar spot minimum leaves his clear tracks. We had got the permission to use the 60 m band. Hardy has tormented himself by the digital local QRM to make possible some OMs QSOs on this new band.

QTH: 10.-24.03. Hotel Royal Orchid and 24.03.-08.04. Hotel Cais da Oliveira, both in Canico de Baixo, located between the airport and Funchal.
The decline of the solar activity became apparent particularly by the fact that the 12-metre band was usable only on few days for the QSO company. We could answer the complaints about QSB on the part of the QSO partners always with "here also QSB". It was remarkable also that for the QSOs predominantly cluster information was used. In the extreme case we had to leave in spite of possible QSO series the 12-metre band, because there were no cluster announcements. Also this year a lot of "new one" could be distributed.

Danmark 06.-25.09.2015 Holiday and radio operation
QTH: An idyllic situated woodend house on 1000 m ² big property in Faxes Ladeplads JO65BE68UM.
Radio equipment: IC-7000, tuner AH-4, 10 m of vertical aerial (DX-Wire) and notebook with programme Win-Test. In connection with my jubilee "40 years radio amateur" I could use the YL-Club-Call OZ6SYL. Because in the holiday period the CW part of the SAC fell, a participation was a point of honour. This contest also thereby became a special experience, because I belonged now to the stations in request. With 485 Contest-QSOs I reached the 6th place in the Multi-Band-Categorie and became "the most active Scandinavia YL".

Madeira 05.03.-02.04.2015 holiday and radio operation
QTH: 05.-19.03 hotel Royal Orchid in Canico de Baixo, 19.03.-02.04.2015 hotel of Cais da Oliveira (prior Tropical) likewise in Canico de Baixo, located between the airport and Funchal.
Four weeks ran like in the year before. We had every 35,000 QSOs as a CT9 (till 2009 CT3) in our logs. Thus we decided to operate some "been reserved". To the fact came that Hardy had the direction for the DARC-Jubiläums-CALL DK65DARC in the first week and needed from 22:00 UTC the laptop for the Internet. Nevertheless, the need in CT9-QSO in particular on the WARC bands seems to be unchanged. We could distribute most "new one" to 12 m.
Technically there was an innovation: We exchanged our MFJ-564-doubles-paddle-key used up to now for the doubles paddle produced in China UNI-730A. At short notice IK5HHA had delivered these 400 grammes light key to us.

Madeira 06.03.-03.04.2014 holiday and radio operation
QTH: 06.-20.03 hotel royal Orchid in Canico de Baixo, 20.03.-03.04.2014 hotel Cais da Oliveira (ex Tropical) likewise in Canico de Baixo, located between airport and Funchal.
Station: IC-7000 with tuner AH-4, antenna vertical 7.5 m in the pole of DX-Wire. This pole has also proved itself in the storm. The radio operation always began on the uppermost usable band in which the WARC bands were preferred including 10 m.
Traditionally the CT9 multiplier was offered in the RA DX contest (CT9 / DL3KWR like every year only 20m). All together 860 Contest QSOs came to the logs.
The flower island presented itself in juicy green and many flowers. Nevertheless, it was the most cool March with temporarily rain which we have experienced since 1996 there. The mountain massif with 1800-m-high mountains splits the clouds, so that there are also sunny corners on Madeira. For the camera there were many nice motives and by the car leasehold by Insularcar we have also gone again about 1,000 km. As every year we were on the move daily between 10:00 o'clock and our tea hour - with the exception of the RA DX contest and one "rest day".

OZ6SYL - SYLRA-Meeting 22.-25.08.2013 in Roskilde
The group Scandinavian Young Ladies Radio Amateurs organises a meeting all 2 years, in each case in another country. The participants also come from non Scandinavian countries. At the conference hotel Prindsen a remote radio was installed. DJ5YL, G0AJJ and OH5KIZ in SSB as well as DL3KWR in CW have used this radio. Transceiver IC-7100, power amplifier and antennas stood 30 km away near Ringsted. Result: 102 QSOs (48 CW, 54 SSB).
After the meeting DL3KWR used this YL-club call sign for 2 farther weeks in the holiday location near Faxe with IC-7000, tuner AH-4 and 9 m vertical antenna (DX-Wire) .Result: more than 1000 CW-QSOs and some in SSB.
All together 1121 QSOs with 981 OPs came (under it 41 YLs) in the log.

Equipment: IC-7000 TRX with tuner AH-4, aerial GP-KWF (vertical 7.5 m, DX-Wire).
The radio operation always began on the uppermost usable bands and the WARC bands were preferred.

As every year we were on the move daily between 10:00 o'clock and our tea hour - with the exception of the RA-DX-Contestes.

Equipment: TRX IC-7000 and tuner AH-4, antenna GP-KWF (vertical 7m).
Against all expectations on a maximum of sun spot with universal band openings including 10 m the propagation terms were often worse than 2011. The original optimism was damped especially during the days in which at best on 17 m of QSO series were possible.
Nicola CR9ABE and Jose CR9ABC had found us on the Internet and visited us at the hotel.
The flower island suffered from dryness of many months, so that especially in the southeast green mountain slopes were grey now. Still there blossomed everywhere flowers, the camera had much to do and "our" car (Insularcar had given us the same car like in 2011) brought us certainly all around the island. Between 10:00 o'clock and our tea hour we were on the move daily - with the exception of the RADX contest.

YL- radio activities

Radio activity on the occasion of the women's football world championship from the 01.06.-31.07.2011
a challenge for the YLs of the district and own management to the success of the action under the YL club call sign DL0YLV (see also www.mydarc.de/dl0ylv and QRZ.com)

On the experiences DR20MVP (2010) building up a side was formed with www.QRZ.com, a homepage was arranged which organises belonging to it email address, information to the OVVs to the district meeting presents, radio circular texts written, personal letters to the YLs of the district sends, the logo (on top) forms, log with www.eqsl.cc arranged and own eQSL creates.
Then it went off: OP plans maintain, QSO data of the OPs to the central log transfer, on-line log updated, dates in eQSL uploaded, eQSL entrances and statistics maintain, emails answer, Skeds organise.
Occasionally it was also radio operation - almost exclusively in CW - in particular the gaps in the OP plan being of use.
As an "addition" another 3 days came under the central special call sign DL0YLWM.
At the end 7 YLs of our district 8 339 QSOs had brought in the log. The printer printed 5 750 QSLs (up to 3 QSOs per card which are since the 30.08.2011 in the DARC QSL bureau.
Everything has functioned freely from problems thanks to the QSL creation by Sabine DL3KWS and the support on the computer and in the kitchen by Hardy DL3KWF.

As expected there were some good band openings on 10 metres which we have used as much as possible, so that we can await the next trip to CT9 in March / April, 2012 optimistically.
The daily excursions to the nicest places of the flower island including the shopping proved more than 1,000 km on the odometer and brought more than 2500 digital photos in the camera.

Since July, 2009 CT9 is the main prefix for Madeira. It provided for more pile up than expects. The hotel of Tropical allowed a room "friendly to aerials" to us, so that we could continue our radio activity after the propagated period. Fortunately, there were actually usable openings of the 12-m band, so that we can await the next trip to CT9 in
March / April, 2011 optimistically.

Aalden / Nederlands 08.-22.05.2009 holiday and radio operation

With a vertical antenna get somewhere most distances better than, e.g., with a dipole. QSOs with the outlying areas of Europe was easy.

Unfortunately, the optimism resultant from the better QSO result from March, 2008 towards in 2007 been not confirmed. However, there remains hope for improvement of the propagation terms next year.

Budapest 28.06.-11.07.2008 holiday and radio operation

The hotel arrangement to the west of Budapest in the middle of Greens was ideal for us. By coach and streetcar (for pensioners free of charge) the city centre (Moskva Ter) was accessible at 30 minutes. Meetings with radio friends (HA5KFV, HA5FA, HA5UY, HA5VZ and OE1YMW in Vienna) took many time. With our 30-metres QSOs we could still offer to some HAMs "new one".

MADEIRA 06.-20.03.2008 Holiday trip and radio operation:

The propagations were clearly better than 2007, even if often very quiet signals and short-time-QSB made the radio operation complicated, however, with it also interesting. All together RST 559 was given 224 times and 579 416 times. It was pleasant that we could assert ourselves in the normal QSO operation as well as in the Russian DX contest on the respective QRG if not one of the big DX expeditions in the split operation their takers on our QRG sent and made with it every QSO operation impossible. By the way, this is for us the reason to avoid split operation. All QSOs are confirmed by EQSL. From 2008 we sent on requirement a new version of papier card - see below.

ISLE OF MAN 17.11.-01.12.2007 Holiday trip and radio operation:
QTH: Hotel Cherry Orchard, Port Erin, IO74PC - Rig: IC-7000 with tuner AH-4, antenna GP-KWF.
The propagation were not suitable in the time between sunset and about 21:00 UTC for a fluently operation.Usually was this our main period of operation, so that the QSO result was remarkably low. Nevertheless, we did not want to shorten the anyway quite short times of daily trips. Still many radio friends had QSOs with us. In the CQWWDX contest the multiplier MD was surely coveted and wishes for change of bands were fulfilled.( :-))) 100% eQSL and paper cards via bureau.
